In addition to accessories that are supplied as standard, Barrett has a diverse range of accessories available for use with their radio products.
Examples of Barrett accessories are the:-
2061 HF Phone Patch
The 2061 HF phone patch provides an interface between a HF network and the International telephone network, allowing HF stations to be connected to telephone subscribers and vice versa. This phone patch uses a unique adaptive hybrid to convert the four-wire audio from the transceiver to two-wire audio for the phone line, provides continually recalculated isolation between the off air HF signal and the telephone user, producing a reliable VOX signal, and balances the telephone line continually with no adjustments.
4022 Mains Power Supply with Built-in Charger
The 4022 mains power supply with built-in charger is designed to provide regulated power to one 4050 transceiver and one accessory, with provision for a battery backup system in case of mains power failure. This low noise switch mode power supply delivers 24 V at 18 amps continuously and supports a mains input supply that can vary from 85 V AC to 264 V AC, ideal for use in areas where mains voltages vary dramatically and occasionally fail altogether.
Long Wire Throw Out Antenna
The long wire throw out antenna is for manpack operation, with an adaptor to suit the whip stud on the PRC-2090. This antenna package includes a winding hub, antenna wire, throw weight and black carry bag.
917 Marine Whip Antennas
917 marine whip antennas are manufactured from heavy gauge aluminium tubing with a polymer coating or fibreglass with a rugged coating for marine and UV protection. These omnidirectional antennas are supplied in a range of sizes and mounting configurations, offer a large and low loss radiating surface, and are designed to operate in all marine bands from 2 to 30 MHz.
912 Series Broadband Base Station Antennas
912 Series broadband base station antennas are designed for use in either an inverted ‘V’ configuration using a single mast (providing a more omnidirectional radiation pattern), or a standard dipole configuration between two masts. All broadband antennas in the series are designed to provide optimum performance over a wide HF spectrum, without the need for antenna tuners. Using high quality stainless steel and glass reinforced composites, the 912 Series of broadband antennas are lightweight and corrosion resistant, but are able to withstand wind speeds in excess of 200 km/h.
918 Series Log Periodic Antennas
918 Series Log periodic antennas are steerable antennas with high directional gain suitable for long distance communications, and broadband input from either 13 MHz to 30 MHz or 10 MHz to 30 MHz. 918 Log periodic antennas come complete with rotator and thrust bearing.
Please note examples shown here are only an extremely limited selection. Furthermore, Scancom Radio Communications can supply antenna systems not available through Barrett. For example, omnidirectional broadband monopole antennas (as shown in the image below), designed for medium to long distance omnidirectional operation, being vertically polarised, and characterised by low angle radiation patterns and a wide selection of bandwidths and frequency ranges (2 – 30 MHz).
