Accessories
In addition to accessories that are supplied as standard, Codan has a multitude of accessories available for use with their radio products. Examples of Codan accessories are the:-
AMP-4 Power Amplifier
The AMP-4 power amplifier is a 30 Watt power amplifier that operates in one of three frequency bands: 136 to 174 MHz, 380 to 430 MHz or 450 to 520 MHz. This power amplifier is rated for continuous duty at an adjustable RF output power of 20 to 30 Watts, and was designed to mate with any of the MT-4 transmitter exciter modules.
3046 HF Antenna Tuner
The 3046 HF antenna tuner is a low profile 125 W HF antenna tuning unit designed to deliver high performance and reliability. The 3046 provides high speed and efficient tuning of short and long whip antennas across the full operational HF band. The innovative circuit design ensures power delivery to the antenna is maximised, and receive mode performance is optimised by the internal receive mode amplifier. The control interface of the 3046 is fully integrated with Codan’s HF transceivers so that tuning is transparent to the operator.
10M Premium Mast
The 10M premium mast is a lightweight and robust mast that is suitable for both permanent and semi-permanent installations. The 10M premium mast can support a variety of HF wire antennas, and has been designed with ease of installation in mind, only requiring a two-person crew for quick deployment and provided with all special tools required for installation.
3040 Automatic Whip Antenna
The 3040 automatic whip antenna is a low profile antenna, providing a mobile antenna solution for all Codan high frequency radios. The 3040 has a combination of fast tuning, compact form factor and rugged construction, all contributing to a state of the art mobile antenna tuner product. It has a 125 W RF power handling capability and can be used for voice and data operation over the full 2 to 30 MHz frequency band. The extremely fast tuning capability and optimised antenna efficiency ensures maximum system readiness and constant availability to the operator.
2110 Series Antennas
2110 Series antennas are suitable for the 2110 Series manpack, and include tape whip, long wire and broadband dipole. 2110 Series antennas are suited to short or long range communications, are quick and easy to deploy in the field, and are durable and portable for reliable communications on the move.
Delta Antenna
The Delta antenna is a high performance, easy to install, omnidirectional, broadband antenna that is suited to base-to-base or base-to-mobile communication over short to medium distances. The Delta has been designed to provide continuous coverage throughout its entire frequency range (3 to 30 MHz) making it an ideal choice for a base station antenna.
Please note examples shown here are only an extremely limited selection. Furthermore, Scancom Radio Communications can supply antenna systems not available through Codan. For example, omnidirectional broadband monopole antennas (as shown in the image below), designed for medium to long distance omnidirectional operation, being vertically polarised, and characterised by low angle radiation patterns and a wide selection of bandwidths and frequency ranges (2 – 30 MHz).
